The search for intimate weddings venues in Norfolk is increasing! Following the most recent government announcement (17th July), weddings and receptions of up to 30guests are allowed to now take place. I am sure this is going to help lots of couples, although there are still restrictions which means you need to be careful what you are planning, don’t get too carried away!! With a smaller scale, intimate wedding, some of the more typical wedding venues may not be quite right for your big day so here is a selection of some of the best intimate wedding venues Norfolk has to offer.
1. Cley Windmill
Could you ask for a more iconic setting!? Cley windmill is simply stunning, full of history, a round interior and views to die for so this has to be top of my list of the best intimate wedding venues in Norfolk! It is also licensed for weddings, there is onsite accommodation and its own restaurant and catering. Due to its size it is perfect for smaller, intimate weddings for couples looking for a unique venue.
2. Swanton Morley House & Gardens
Set in 10 acres of stunning countryside, this private wedding venue is perfect if you are looking for a country estate feel to your intimate wedding in Norfolk. The owner is skilled in floristry and with a superbly stocked cutting garden, you are sure to have a stunning looking day! Being fully licensed for ceremonies you have the choice of an outside or an inside wedding. For your wedding reception their marquee-covered courtyard provides a beautiful area for you and your guests.
3. Red Lodge Country House
A very private and secluded venue which includes a number of rooms, this boutique B&B is the perfect setting for you to enjoy the most amazing celebration, including fabulous food from the owner. Being licensed for ceremonies you have the option of saying your vows anywhere in the grounds or even inside the Georgian mansion.The dining room in the house is perfectly appointed for a small wedding.
4. The Temple at Holkham Hall
With all the grandness of a wedding at Holkham mixed with the intimacy of a smaller celebration, the Temple is perfect. Set deep in the grounds of the Holkham Estate, you are tucked away to create your own private wedding celebration. The Temple itself can be used for your ceremony and then for a small dinner afterwards. Alternatively, you could use the stunning Marble hall for your vows, or have a larger marquee outside the Temple for slightly more guests.

If you are looking for sustainable luxury then Chaucer barn is perfect. You also get the whole house and grounds to yourself for the weekend which is perfect for relaxing with your chosen bubble! 6. Pensthorpe Garden Rooms
Perfect for an intimate wedding in Norfolk, the Garden Room at Pensthorpe offers something completely unique. The stunning dining room makes a beautiful backdrop for your wedding breakfast after your ceremony and with a games room and loads of outside space, you have plenty of options to continue the celebration.
