I am so excited to share these amazing fine art photographs from a recent shoot I had the pleasure of styling at the beautiful Thurning Hall. Thurning is a stunning Georgian mansion in Norfolk notable for its exquisite interiors and romantic ambience. The shoot oozes luxury and decadence, with a crack team of luxury Norfolk wedding suppliers.
Fine Art Wedding Photographer
The hall and grounds offered multiple opportunities for our Norfolk based, luxury, fine art wedding photographer, Camilla Hards, to capture the happy couple in a series of elegantly styled shots. Making the most of the traditionally classic surroundings and warm, hazy sunshine that gave proceedings a sublimely ethereal touch, Camilla produced an exceptional collection of photographs.
The Wedding Design
Dressing this wedding was a dream. On order to create the luxury feel to this fine art wedding, attention to detail had to be filtered through every single element. To complement the grandeur and romance that embodies Thurning Hall, I combined gorgeous golden highlights with nude, earthy tones to set a sensuous and tranquil mood. Each unique element of the wedding was lightly brushed by this luxurious fusion, from the stationery and the flowers, to the cake and hair design.
The Bridal Bouquet
An arrangement of delicately-hued roses were fashioned into an oversized bouquet and tied with a waterfall of hand-died silk ribbons that caught on the wind. Focusing on seasonal flowers, the bouquet fitted perfectly with the quintessential country garden at Thurning Hall. With the size and abundance of roses really enhancing its luxury quality.
The Wedding Table Design
Arranged with texture in mind, the dining table was adorned with a carefully curated selection of classic linens and muslin in whites and creams. Layering opulent gold-rimmed glassware and cutlery the effect was completed with a lush display of Ester and Erik tapered candles.
The Exquisite Stationery
The bespoke stationery suite was a triumph of deluxe, minimalist style. Taupe and cream tones on thick vellum, fine golden accents and deckled edges proved to be the very definition of classical chic.
The stationery suite comprised:
- save the dates
- RSVP cards
- wax seals
- place names
- personalised vows
The Delicately Designed Cake
The decadent four tiered cake, which was decorated with handcrafted white sugar roses and gold and taupe fault lines, was displayed in front of a bespoke fabric banner bearing the words, “You are my today and all of my tomorrows.”
The Luxurious Bridal Look
In keeping with the graceful surroundings, our bride and groom were the epitome of understated elegance.
Attired in a timeless black tux, our groom perfectly complemented the bride’s breathtaking tulle-skirted Maggie Sottero gown.
With hair styled in a polished chignon and makeup expertly applied in lustrous golden tones, all our bride needed was her bountiful rose-filled bouquet to complete the look.
A tiered skirt and veil elevated the bride’s second look to peak glamour. Her floral arrangement was a masterpiece of anthuriums, golden amaranthus, Westminster Abbey roses, Golden mustard roses, white Ohara roses, Symbol roses and dried bunny tails finished off with a crushed velvet, hand dyed ribbon in a bold burnt pumpkin shade.
