As wedding season comes to a close for this year for me I thought I would blog about some of the amazing weddings I have worked on and share some pro tips along the way.

May was the first of my jam-packed months this year and this is a taster of some of the amazing events…

One of my big tasks in May was to work on plans for an amazing styled shoot as one of my most favourite local venues Thurning Hall . I can’t share any details yet but May was a month of lots of planning meetings, detail sourcing and scheduling to make sure the day went smoothly and was as productive as possible. In May I also ventured down to London for the annual UKAWP members meeting. This is such a great opportunity to network with fellow wedding planners from all over the UK. I love my UKAWP colleagues and a trip to London is always a bonus! The AGM this year was held at the trendy JJ Studios, an amazing urban space for weddings and events. It was great to visit a venue like nothing we have in Norfolk, and really gave me loads of ideas but watch this space!

One of my exclusive venues also had an open weekend where they showcased a variety of marquees from Mortons – you can see some Facebook Lives I did from the event here with the different marquees. I worked with them to organise the event and met lots of lovely brides and clients on the day.

One of the weddings this month was at the stunning Holkham Hall, this time in their Walled Garden. There was a fabulous tipi from the wonderful Magical Camping which was filled with all sorts of decor along the rustic theme. The food was slow cooked lamb with sharing platters and it was delicious! The speeches were toasted with shots of limoncello which added to the personal touches for the day. These are some pictures of the details of the day.

The day went really well, despite the poor groom having spent the previous day in bed with the flu! The Walled Garden looked so pretty as the sun went down as there were loads of festoon lights and fire pits which lit up the night. The weather was dry thankfully and everything went to plan!
