Mid-Summer Wedding at The Brisley Bell
Just a stunner of a mid-summer wedding. With an incredible line-up of suppliers this was a true delight to work on. From the first chat we had I knew L and I would get along and work really well together and I was not wrong. Her vision for her day was spot-on and I was able to help her achieve it with some inspiration sessions to focus her choices and planning time. The cheerful wedding design included a little bumble bee motif, mini bells (to echo the venue) tied with ribbons as favours, personalised poems for each guest and bright seasonal flowers.

Church Ceremony
Incorporated into the church service was the amazing Kavolini quartet who played L down the aisle to her favourite Coldplay song. L&S had their first date at a Coldplay concert so it made sense that they featured in the wedding day! Infact, the dining tables were named after Coldplay songs. A local choir help bolster the congregation during the hymns which really raised the roof and added to the joyfulness of the ceremony. During the ceremony the lovely Jack Brock arrived so we got him set up ready to pass round confetti for the newly-weds entrance.
The happy couple made their exit from the church in a friend’s vintage Fiat, a pale blue one which matched the colour scheme beautifully. Guests walked from the church across the village to the local pub, The Brisley Bell. With an impeccable reputation for amazing food this was set to be a real treat for their guests. L&S had exclusive use of the pub for their wedding so were able to put a marquee up in the gardens and then use the pub for the reception, cocktail hour and evening dancing.
Wedding Reception at The Brisley Bell
The string quartet and Jack Brock continued to entertain guests as the fizz flowed and canapes were distributed. The three course meal and speeches then followed. To pep everyone up after their tummies were full the wonderful Charlotte Ware added atmosphere to the cocktail hour playing some chilled Ibiza tunes on her saxophone. The hand-crafted cocktails were named after the couple’s dog and really went down a treat with the guests.
Evening Reception
The cutting of the cake with the famous family sword was then followed by the first dance inside the pub. The very talented Joe Ringer Band did a fabulous job of keeping the dancefloor energy high. Once their first set was over Charlotte returned to the dancefloor with some more saxophony while L&S made the most of the golden hour with the photographer and videographer in the neighbouring cornfield and The Bell’s gardens.
