With the fantastic wedding venue of Voewood as a backdrop, what could be more stunning than an outside wedding ceremony amongst your closest family and friends with a marquee wedding breakfast to follow? We were lucky to have lovely spring weather and to be surrounded by delicate spring blooms in the Voewood grounds.

There is something very special about a ceremony which is being conducted by a close friend. It gives a unique and beautiful touch to the ceremony and makes it more memorable. This was the case for Holly and Patrick as their ceremony was conducted by their close friend Laura. The bridal couple were framed by a vibrant deconstructed arch of hydrangeas, tulips, ranunculus, gypsophila, jasmine and loads of seasonal foliages, all carefully designed and arranged by the Floral Sistas. We were able to repurpose these elegant arches by using them to frame the entrance of the marquee.  These florals were mirrored in the floral crown that Holly wore in her hair and the vases of flowers on the tables.

Walking down the aisle towards all their guests was Maggie (Holly & Patrick’s fur baby) followed by 5 bridesmaids in differing shades of coral and finally by Holly who walked towards Patrick surrounded by spring florals including tulips and blue bells in the most stunning Catherine Deane dress. I always love guessing the style of the dress my brides will choose and seeing how they pick something that reflects them and knits with the style and vibe of their day and Holly’s dress was absolutely spot on!

After being cheered through a shower of confetti the couple joined their guests on the sunny Voewood terrace, overlooking the splendid grounds, where their guests enjoyed glasses of Prosecco and exquisite canapes prepared by the talented Andy Parle and his team.

As the sun began to set the guests made their way to the marquee whilst the very lovely Georgia Rachael captured Holly and Patrick in the golden sunset before they joined everyone in the marquee for their wedding breakfast of delicious Cromer Crab followed by Roast Fillet of Norfolk beef concluding with Classic Tarte Tatin, served by the Andy Parle Catering Team. This was a postponed wedding, which should have been held in France so the menu had a real french twist on it, cleverly designed and executed by Andy.

Holly picked tones of greens and gold in the marquee to really let the flowers and fabulous lighting do the talking. I also loved the way Holly had thought about where she and her new husband would be sitting for speech photos in the marquee and had a bright and impactful backdrop, rather than a blank white canvas background for these.

Holly had a very clear vision for her Voewood wedding and created her own Table Plan with pressed flowers.

Holly transformed her dress, ready to dance the night away, This fabulous day ended with the guests dancing the night away to music by the Bear Club back inside Voewood hall.

If you would like to know more about how I helped and supported Holly and Patrick create this beautiful day, drop me an email and we can set up a chat. I always LOVE a Voewood wedding, each is so unique and personal.
